Alibaba Cloud is accelerating its international footprint with a strategic push into key markets including Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, and Europe. The MOVE aims to bolster AI infrastructure services for Chinese enterprises operating globally, leveraging its existing network of 87 zones across 29 regions.

The $52 billion investment comes as competition intensifies in the cloud computing sector, with Alibaba offering 394 cloud and AI products alongside 59 technical services. Its dominance in Asia Pacific now faces new challenges as rivals scramble for market share.
